Book Signing at Whole Wheat Radio
First of all I just have to say this, “Whole Wheat Radio rocks!” My book signing last night was a wonderful success and I know that a good portion of that is due to WWR. Jim was so generous and made us feel right at home, it not only made hosting the even easy, it definitely helped calm my nerves. Thankfully my fears of standing around with nothing to do were never realized as there was a steady flow of people in and out for the entire time. What a wonderful feeling to have friends and acquaintances gather to celebrate the release of my first book. I am so very grateful for all the support, encouragement, and excitement they expressed towards me last night. It was a sweet mile marker in this book publishing adventure. Thanks to everyone who came, you really made my day!
The Bird Who Wouldn’t Sing
“Every bird has a unique voice, every single one.”
A book about being unique, being true to yourself, and the joy of sharing who you are and what you are meant to do with the wonderful wide world.

Felicity Bird loves nothing more than to sing her heart out. But when she leaves the nest and goes out into the wonderful wide world she discovers a bird community full of amazing singers. Intimidated by voices she perceives as better than hers, Felicity refuses to sing. Without her songs, life loses its joy and she becomes sad. Her voice is free to sing again, when she learns that she shouldn’t compare herself to others but rather to be true to herself and just let her beautiful voice be heard.
A story with a strong message for any age!
- Learning not to compare yourself to others,
- to be true to yourself,
- and to express yourself as unique individuals,
- don’t be your own worst critic,
- or hold yourself back from doing something you are meant to do,
- when the unique “voices” of individuals blend together it makes for beautiful harmony!
